Church Relations
Concordia University:
Founded by the church,
to serve the church.
Warm Greetings in the Risen Savior!
There is a long and very rich history of blessings from God using the ministry
of this place to raise up leaders for His church. Since the founding of
Concordia University in 1864, thousands of graduates have
contributed to His kingdom in a meaningful way, becoming pastors, teachers,
church professionals, and more.
The Office of Church Relations exists to nurture and strengthen this long
and mutually beneficial relationship so that the Church now -- and into the
future -- will continue to nurture and provide both lay and professional servant
leaders. The Office also works to connect congregations and the University,
so that the ministry of both is deepened.
For the time being, the President's Office is responding to Church Relations requests and calls. Rev Harry Therwanger has taken a call to First Immanuel Lutheran Church, Chicago.
